Great location near restaurants, bars, and shuttle stop. Clean room and carpets. Fan and open window help with summer heat. Adequate free breakfast. Convenient and friendly staff. Delicious food at restaurant. Cool bar. Lovely property with friendly welcome. Access to room before check-in. Pleasant dinner with excellent beer. Beautifully prepared food. Decent breakfast with good coffee. Helpful microwave. Shower offer after check-out is wonderful. Good for acclimatizing before hiking. Nice place to stay in Mammoth.

It was better then I suspected, room was very clean and well decorated, seems a bit dated on the outside (furniture in rooms - at least the one we had - seemed rather new and "modern" ), but that adds to the charm of the hotel, hotel has a lot of commodities on place, restaurant, bar, free internet, so in the end absolutely no deception
Hotel seems a bit dated, but as said earlier that adds to the charm of the hotel, for the rest no complaints

We loved the convenience of being located across from the village and the overall vibe of the hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, from the front desk to the bar. The bar staff even went the extra mile by cutting up limes for us. It was a great experience and perfect for bigger groups of friends.
We felt very well taken care of, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. Nothing was too much trouble.

Alpenhof Lodge is just steps away from the center square of Mammoth Lakes. Parking is free as well as the pool facility. The rooms were large enough, clean and comfortable. Overall we had a pleasant stay at the Alpenhof Lodge.
The only serious drawback is the very poor breakfast. You can have breakfast in a tiny corner of the entrance with only 2 chairs (!) meaning it's quite packed in the morning. The reception guy takes care of the breakfast ingredients, I.E. it's quite poor and messy. Better go to the starbucks just 200m into the city center..

The cozy mountain lodge provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere with friendly staff who go above and beyond to ensure a great stay. The location is convenient for accessing the nearby village, mountain, and shuttle. The complimentary breakfast offers ample options, and guests can enjoy the restaurant and bar on-site. The lodge's Swiss-inspired aesthetic adds a unique charm, and the comfortable beds and pleasant views make for a pleasant stay.
The thin walls can sometimes lead to noise disturbances from neighboring rooms.

Staff were very friendly and the room was great for two.
Unseasonally hot weather, the hottest it has been in 23 years meant no air-con to cool us down.

The breakfast ran out very quickly. All that was available was a doughnut & drink.

Its position was good and the staff were friendly there was a fridge in the room. The beds were comfy. bedclothes were dated.
It was a bit old and battered and the continental breakfast was very limited. We had stayed in 5 hotels that week including vegas, bakersfield and fresno. It may be an unfair comparison but the alpenhof was the dearest of all and by a long way the worst. I found old tissues and old food under the beds in the room. No aircon. would recommend only for location.

Was in a good location near restaurants. Room was quite large and comfortable.
Breakfast advertised as bagles/ continental breakfast. It was mostly donuts and packet hot cereal and an orange. We didn't bother with breakfast.

We had a great time at Alpenhof Lodge! The rooms were clean and comfortable, and we loved the bar, jacuzzi, and sauna facilities. The staff was super friendly and helpful all the time. The location was perfect, with plenty of eating and drinking establishments within walking distance. The shuttle stop was conveniently located across the street, and there was a large parking lot available. we had a fantastic stay as a family.
Felt very well taken care of, no complaints.
